Optimized Internal Transport System
The team at Deprez Construct NV developed a fully integrated internal transport system for Bioterra NV in Genk. On this site, raw materials are first cleaned and then stored in 16 bunkers before being further processed.
Efficient transport from cleaning to storage
Deprez designed a streamlined transport path from the material cleaning area to the storage bunkers. The system handles sand and aggregates over a storage length of 250 meters, with transport routes ranging from 120 to 240 meters, ensuring each material is delivered to the correct bunker. This optimized logistics system allows smooth, safe, and reliable internal transport.
Construction and implementation
Concrete walls are currently being cast on the Bioterra site, forming the foundation for the conveyor belts. This structure ensures that materials flow correctly and efficiently to their designated storage locations.
Result
These improvements significantly enhance internal logistics, resulting in higher productivity, less manual handling, and smoother material flow. The project highlights Deprez’ expertise in delivering intelligent, robust, and fully integrated solutions for internal transport and storage.
