Deprez earns national title as SME of the year

During the UNIZO Topseminar event on the 6th of December, Deprez was elected as national SME of the year, after previously winning the same title in the Province of West Flanders. The title was awarded to Deprez because of its commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The yearly contest is organized by Belgian association of entrepreneurs UNIZO and is meant to laud ambitious and innovative SME entrepreneurs who stand out in their performance. "It is often the big players that are in the spotlight," says UNIZO executive Danny Van Assche. "But there are many local SMEs that also excel internationally in terms of innovative strength and added value. With the award ceremony, we are drawing attention to these hidden gems."

The winner of the title was decided by a panel of jurors, combined with a public vote worth 15% of the total points.

According to the jury, Deprez “made the difference with its sustainable approach and high level of innovation. Thanks to a strong vision in its human resources policy, it can depend on a solid team of around 80 employees. They build unique logistic solutions, tailored to each customer. The company also distinguishes itself through its social commitment and financial health. On top of that it is a true family enterprise with international presence: Deprez is active in 12 countries, among which Australia and Canada.”

We are immensely proud after hearing these words of praise from the jury. It is rewarding to be recognized for our way of doing business, which is focused on building unique and tailored solutions for our clients. This approach drives our continuous innovation and creativity. And most importantly: in our minds, this results in a complete win-win situation: a lifetime of trust and a sustainable relationship with our clients.
